The Blossburg Volunteer Fire Department was formed in 1869. It has seen many name changes over the last 150 years; from the original name of Eagle Engine Company and the Mist Hose Company to the Drake Engine Company to the Andrews Hose Company. Prior to its final naming of Blossburg Fire and Ambulance Co., it was also known as the Awlsworth Company. In 2003, the Fire and Ambulance departments were relocated from 206 Main Street to its current location of 324 Main Street. All of the members of the Fire Department are volunteers who dedicate their time to helping the local communities. For more information, please visit their social media pages on Facebook.
